Monocot vs Dicot
There are 4 distinct structural features that differentiate the monocot from a dicot. These four structural features are roots, stem, leaves, and flowers.
Monocot has 1 cotyledon whereas dicot has 2 cotyledons at the beginning which developed to the vast differences.
Monocots have the fibrous roots that spread in different directions and it occupies the upper level of soil whereas dicots have the thicker root system which digs deeper in the ground. The main root in the dicots is called Taproot. For the growth of the plant root system is necessary if it is good then the health of the plant is good.
The stem of the plant arranges the vascular tissues sporadically in the case of Monocots whereas in dicots organized fashion that arranges the tissue in the doughnut looking structure. Stem sport the entire plant system. Vascular tissues in the stem use as the circulatory system and bring the nutrient in each part of the plant.
Monocot leaves have the parallel veins whereas dicot leaves form the branching veins. Leaves have an important role in plants because they are in charge of feeding plants and they carry out the photosynthesis process.
Monocot flowers in 3 usually whereas dicot flowers occur in 4 or 5.
